Sale of Gravel Crushing Company

Capital Business Solutions completed the sale of a gravel crushing company in Northern Alberta to a US based private equity group for a total consideration of $6,900,000. This company had a strong 25 year history however ran into a cash crunch when they purchased a significant amount of equipment based on a confirmed major contract  which was canceled. The US based private equity group acquired control of the company, allowed the vendor to retain an equity interest and recapitalized their balance sheet.

The vendor says “not only is the Private Equity Group a good partner but the principals have become good friends.”

A win, win situation!
