Before Capital Business Solutions, Lloyd was with Sumex Business Financing concentrating on equipment leasing, divestitures, private equity, and commercial mortgages. In 2011 Capital Business Solutions Inc. merged with MNP Corporate Finance with arrangements unwound in 2012.

Prior to Sumex/Capital Business Solutions, Lloyd was CFO of a private oil and gas drilling company that built and commissioned 12 drilling rigs. Lloyd was previously Vice-President with HSBC Bank Canada. His accomplishments there include building a commercial business unit into one of the top performing offices in Canada and leading the country in equipment leasing growth for a number of years. Before joining HSBC, Lloyd had senior positions with two other Canadian Chartered Banks.

Lloyd's community involvement includes eight years as a Trustee with the Alberta Cancer Foundation. During his tenure he focused on fundraising and successfully raised over $5 million in donations. He is also a past director for Junior Achievement.
